Role description

As a Motion Designer on our Creative Services team, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across our company to create high-quality video experiences that reflect Canada Life’s brand and business goals.

Your work will help bring Canada Life’s stories to life, building trust and connection with our audiences. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking Motion Design team that values creativity, curiosity and continuous learning. We’re always exploring new tools and techniques to push the boundaries of design and stay ahead in a fast-moving industry.

What you will do

  • Design and animate engaging motion graphics for a variety of marketing tactics, including email, web, social media and internal communications.

  • Collaborate with team members on concept development, scripting, storyboarding and visual storytelling

  • Support the production process from intake through to delivery, including design, animation, audio, accessibility and versioning

  • Apply brand and accessibility standards to ensure consistency and inclusivity across all content

  • Participate in creative reviews and incorporate feedback to refine and improve your work

  • Help maintain asset libraries and support uploads to internal and external video platforms

  • Stay current with design trends and tools to continuously grow your skills

What you will bring

  • A portfolio showcasing motion design work grounded in storytelling and brand alignment

  • Proficiency in design and software including After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma and Media Encoder

  • Experience creating storyboards and design treatments with an understanding of animation techniques and video production workflows

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • High attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow through feedback

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and a commitment to creating inclusive content

  • Curious with a passion for creative innovation and career development

The base salary for this position is between $56,000**- $83,900** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
