Emergency preparedness is a critical aspect of CCH operations. It is essential that all staff and physicians receive training and understand their roles and responsibilities in this field. This position is for an existing vacancy.
Summary of responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Outpatient and Geriatric Mental Health Services, the program clerk’s primary areas of responsibility will be performing clerical duties (file, photocopy, fax, shred etc.), clerical support to clinicians, preparing client charts, registering/discharging client files, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the job
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Medical Terminology (tested with a pass mark of 75% or greater)
- Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of office equipment including computer, fax, and photocopier
- Typing speed of 45 w.p.m.
- Knowledge of Word, Windows and spreadsheet programs
- Organizational abilities with initiative and the ability to work unsupervised
- Good interpersonal skills and strong team orientation
- Good communication and customer service/public relation skills
- Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
- Functional level in oral and written English

- Functional level in oral French
