Position Description
Job Title: Analytical Chemist
Department: Pharmaceutical Development Solutions
Position Reporting To: Technical-Analytical Manager
Position Type: Contract, Full Time, On-Site Position (12-18 Months Contract)
General Description:
Execution of the analytical testing to assure high quality standard in support of development or Technology transfer projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing of products including raw materials, API as well as the drug product.
- Perform analytical method transfer of API and drug product, compendial verification of raw materials in accordance with assigned protocols using Analytical Instrumentation-IR, UV, HPLC and GC.
- Ensure all analytical results and documentation are of high quality, generated in a timely fashion and comply with cGMP.
- Review and prepare routine technical documents as directed by supervisor.
- Plan and perform analytical tasks independently according to priorities assigned by supervisor.
- Perform all tasks in accordance with local policies and procedures including EHS standards.
Qualifications:
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Capable of operating analytical lab equipment relevant to job.
- Basic understanding of chemical separation principles.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Good working knowledge of cGMPs and regulatory requirements for highly regulated markets.
- Is a team player and can work across all levels and functions.
- Proven ability to manage tasks and meet timelines.
Education:
Required
- College Diploma in Chemistry or a related science.
- Computer proficiency for MS Word & MS Excel.
- GMP experience/knowledge.
Preferred
- University degree in Chemistry
