The Department of Languages and Cultures at the University of Western Ontario is a dynamic academic community dedicated to the exploration and celebration of linguistic diversity and cultural richness comprising scholars, educators, and students passionate about global communication and understanding. We offer a wide array of programs and courses spanning languages, literatures, and cultural studies.

Responsibilities

The Department of Languages and Cultures is seeking a meticulous and proficient Marker to support our Italian languages summer course: Italian 2222A/B: Made in Italy.

The Marker will be responsible for assessing student assignments and exams, providing constructive feedback, and assisting in maintaining course standards through grading. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Italian Studies or a related field, with a preference for candidates posessing a PhD. Fluency in both English and Italian are essential for effective communication with students and faculty. The Marker will demonstrate a keen eye for detail, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for fostering language proficiency in students through positive assessment and feedback.
