Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Predominantly Days

Status: Permanent Full Time

As a valued member of TeamLMP, you will play a key role exercising judgment and independence in the performance of administrative activities.

Duties

  • Receiving supplies and storing them according to laboratory requirements and standards
  • Maintaining and controlling the inventory of supplies, products, and materials needed for laboratory operations
  • Ordering products and supplies to maintain minimal storage requirements for the laboratory departments and partner sites
  • Performing inventory checks, both visual and RFID-assisted
  • Conducting inventory audits to identify discrepancies or issues
  • Communicating effectively with vendors and members of the laboratory team
  • Liaising with vendors, UHN Materials Management, and Laboratory staff to resolve ordering/delivery issues and source new products/small equipment
  • Consistently reviewing product/supply consumption and modify ordering values accordingly
  • Utilize computerized inventory systems for tracking and managing inventory levels
  • Ensure accuracy in data entry and inventory records

Qualifications

  • Completion of a college diploma program, in relevant discipline or recognized equivalent
  • 1-3 years of practical or position-related experience
  • Previous experience in inventory management or a related field, an asset
  • Ability to preform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to handle frequent changes to volume of work and priority of tasks with short notice
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
  • Proficiency in using computerized inventory systems and related equipment (scanner, photocopier, telephone, lifting/transport trolleys)
  • Proficiency in identifying and resolving inventory system issues
  • Ability to research root causes of missing/incomplete/delayed orders and ensure swift resolution
  • Knowledge of medical product terminology and ability to respond to requests for specific items
  • Experience in a Microsoft Office environment
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment, an asset
  • Experience working with inventory or supplies management software, an asset
  • Exercise initiative and good judgement with the ability to multi-task
  • Compliance with confidentiality requirements
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
