Position Summary

As the S****ocial media & Brand Specialist, you will be the voice of Keyspire across all organic and earned channels. You will own our social media strategy and execution, manage community engagement, and lead efforts to build brand awareness and demand beyond paid media — including through earned PR opportunities and podcast programming. This is a hands-on role for someone who is strategic, creative, organized, and passionate about building and growing an engaged online community.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Strategy & Execution (40%)

  • Own and evolve the organic social media strategy across all major platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Reddit.
  • Develop and maintain monthly content calendars, including proactive and reactive content aligned to brand goals and audience trends.
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging and on-brand content using HubSpot and other social tools.
  • Lead community engagement, including responding to messages and comments, addressing feedback, and implementing community management protocols.
  • Monitor platform trends and competitor activity to identify new content opportunities.
  • Track KPIs, report on performance, and optimize strategy based on engagement and growth metrics.

2. Community Engagement & Reputation Management (30%)

  • Build a vibrant and supportive online community aligned with Keyspire’s brand voice and values.
  • Establish clear guidelines for moderation, crisis response, and handling of negative feedback or reviews.
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience teams to ensure a seamless experience across social and support channels.

3. Earned Media & PR Management (20%)

  • Proactively research and pitch earned media opportunities including press mentions, guest articles, and interviews.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, bloggers, and influencers relevant to real estate, finance, and entrepreneurship.
  • Coordinate and prep Keyspire co-founders and spokespeople for media appearances.
  • Develop tracking tools to measure the impact of earned media placements.

4. Podcast Production Coordination (5%)

  • Support the development of the Keyspire podcast by researching relevant topics and trends.
  • Book and coordinate podcast guests, including scheduling, prep materials, and briefing notes.
  • Work with production teams to manage recording, editing, and distribution timelines.
  • Collaborate on repurposing podcast content for social channels and campaigns.

5. Brand Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration (5%)

  • Contribute to brand voice and storytelling strategies in collaboration with content and creative teams.
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns with organic content and brand amplification tactics.
  • Help identify influencer and brand partnership opportunities to extend reach.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in social media and community management, preferably in a direct-to-consumer or coaching/education environment.

  • Proven track record of building engaged online communities and growing brand reach organically.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills; strong storytelling instincts.

  • Familiarity with PR, media outreach, and earned media measurement.

  • Experience with HubSpot or other content scheduling and analytics platforms.

  • Comfortable on fast-paced teams with evolving priorities.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative — you take initiative and get things done.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to travel in Southern Ontario and work occasional weekends to support live events.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with podcast production or influencer/partner marketing.
  • Background in real estate, personal finance, or education-based brands.
  • Basic design/video editing skills for quick-turn content (Canva, CapCut, etc.)
