Athabasca University's Learning Services Tutorial Department is seeking a Temporary Academic Expert Markerfor the following course ending June2026:
APST 255 Computer Aided Design
**Qualifications and Experience Required:**A minimum of a Master's degree required (PhD preferred) in Architecture or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
The successful candidate will have subject matter expertise and be responsible for providing academic assistance to students, for marking assignments, and for assigning and recording final grades. Teaching experience at a post-secondary level is required. Experience in distance learning and familiarity with digital teaching technologies and online course delivery is preferred. Experience with adult education and Moodle online course delivery is considered an asset.
This course focuses on Computer-Aided Design. The successful candidate will have experience with software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD and Revit.
Along with the relevant academic credentials as mentioned above, this position requires excellent communication, organizational, administration and online/computer skills. The successful candidate should have demonstrated ability to maintain a high academic standard, maintain accurate student records, and return students' work promptly and within the University's required service standards. Candidates must own or have access to a computer and internet with the capability to communicate with the University and students and the capability to run any applications required to perform tutorial support. Non-doctoral prepared employees: $243.25 prorated per block, per biweekly pay and/or $31.01 per hour.
Doctoral prepared employees: $252.98 prorated per block, per biweekly pay and/or $32.24 per hour.
