Position Information The Ottawa Hospital is committed to protecting the privacy of our patients and the confidentiality and security of all sensitive information with which we are entrusted.

As a member of the Information and Privacy Office team, the Analyst provides records management, analytical, coordination and administrative support to ensure organizational compliance with relevant legislation, policies, standards and guidelines.

Rotation/Shifts Days, 8 hour shifts.

What You Will Bring

  • 2-year community college;
  • Five (5) years of Administrative/clerical experience;
  • Three (3) years working knowledge of law including PHIPA and FIPPA;
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a Freedom of Information and Privacy Office in a health care environment or similar role
  • Ability to work effectively with frequent interruptions;
  • Ability to be flexible and yet productive in a demanding environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required in order to interact with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills required to deal with unexpected situations;
  • Consultation, negotiation and problem-solving methods, techniques and practices to facilitate the effective operation of the Information and Privacy and FOI team.

You will stand out with:

  • 4-year Undergraduate degree in relevant field of study;
  • Certified Information and Privacy Professional/Canada;
  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
