Job Description:
On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for a Business Analyst who should ideally be experienced in the implementation of clinical information systems, including the definition and refinement of clinical workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Business and clinical requirements identification and documentation, including:
o Coordinating requirements, design and review/validation workshops, site surveys, and requirements questionnaires.
o Documentation of business requirements and design.
o Test case writing, testing, and test coordination.
o Clinical stakeholder user engagement, clinical change management, training, and communications.
• Coordinating the deployment of technical components, such as RTLS and end-user devices.
• Collaboration and coordination with non-service delivery teams, such as Facilities Management, involved in project tasks, including:
o Wireless site surveys and installation of RTLS and end-user devices.
• Collaboration with the overall project team, clinical subject matter experts, vendors, and other groups across the entire project scope from discovery, solutioning, deployment, go-live, and support.
• Development of tools and templates to support requirements gathering, decision-making, system design, and configuration.
• Review use cases, configuration, and workflow designs with clinical stakeholders.
• Discovery and detailed requirements for system integration with external systems.
• Discovery and documentation of 'Non-Functional Requirements' (NFRs) for the project.
• Validation of configuration, end-to-end testing, and User Acceptance Testing as required.
• Coordination and hands-on involvement with user adoption strategy and use case adoption training with clinical end-users.
• Participate in go-live support, including clinical end-user training and adoption.
• Management of project hardware inventory, including deployment and decommissioning of:
o RTLS devices
o End-user devices (e.g., displays, iPads, PCs/CPUs)
o RTLS wrist bands, tags, and batteries
• Transitioning the project to operational teams for long-term support, including a transition support period and obtaining necessary sign-offs.
• Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Deliverables:
• Business requirements documents covering both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Use case analysis and documentation.
• RTLS and end-user device maps and inventory lists.
• Clinical department User Acceptance Testing sign-off.
• User adoption strategies.
• Integration design documentation.
• Testing plans and materials.
• Training, change management, support, and go-live materials as required.
• Project-to-operations checklist.
• Coordinate and/or participate in site visits and hardware reviews/audits.
• Other deliverables as assigned by the project manager.
Qualifications:
Mandatory:
• Minimum 4 years experience working as a Sr. BA.
• Minimum 5-10 years experience with business requirements and use case development and analysis.
• Minimum 5-10 years experience with user adoption strategies (Change management and training plans).
• Minimum 5-10 years experience managing department requirement matrixes across multiple departments.
Preferences, in approximate priority order:
• Experience with clinical information systems in an acute care environment.
• Experience with clinical workflow systems in an interventional setting.
• Experience with RTLS.
• Experience with MEDITECH, particularly with modules supporting surgical services.
• Experience with integration, particularly between RTLS and MEDITECH.
• Experience with end-user training in a clinical setting.
• Experience with workflow management and/or workflow management systems.
• Experience with system configuration projects.
