About the role
Position Summary: To achieve a high standard of cleanliness in all assigned guestroom and public areas in order to meet and exceed the Guest’s expectation of comfort and personalized service. This will achieve a positive image of the property to all guests. The room attendant must be pleasant, honest and friendly and must be able to address all guest request and/or problems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· To thoroughly clean and replenish supplies in all assigned guestrooms following the task list and instruction from supervisor or manager. Release room by using phone system after cleaning.
· To clean assigned guest room or cleaning task, appropriate cleaning and sanitation methods and procedures has to be followed and chemical has to be used at all times.
· To complete daily assignment sheets and document any issues happened in guest room include any deficiencies.
· To ensure all corridors, housekeeping linen closets and public areas are cleaned to company standard, report to supervisor if task needs to be done by house person.
· To keep housekeeping cart clean and neat at all times.
· To properly use and care for all hotel equipment and tools.
· To follow the proper procedure when handling chemical, PPE has to be wear when handling chemical. Ensure all chemical bottles are proper labelled.
· To report all room deficiencies to supervisor or maintenance person.
· To participate and follow all special cleaning programs include deep cleaning that brought forth by the Executive Housekeeper.
· To react and help with all guest requests. Report to supervisor if having any question regarding guest requests.
· To report any accidents and/or hazards.
· To restock linen carts for following day and stock cart with all necessary items to be able to start day to avoid over stock cart.
· Attend huddle with Supervisor at the start of every shift
· To complete all the tasks assigned. Report to supervisor for any messy room or damage caused by guest.
· To follow the proper procedure for bug control.
· To report any missing items from guest room on daily basis.
· Check to make sure TV remote is working properly and alarm clock is in the off position with the accurate time.
· To knock three times and announce loudly when entering guest room. Open door slowly and always come back to check if guest request late service.
· Report do not disturb, refuse service and no show room to housekeeping office by 1 pm and get replacement room.
· Do not open guest room for anyone and ask guest swipe their keys when guests come back during cleaning.
· No items are to be removed from occupied guest room. Straighten shoes and tidy guest clothes as trained by supervisor.
· Any lost and found items left behind must be reported and logged. Date, room number must be logged on the lost and found sheet. Lost and found items have to be brought down by the end of the shift, valuable item have to be brought down to housekeeping office immediately.
· Any additional duties provided by supervisor.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 per hour
