North-Wright Airways is looking for a full-time Ramp Lead!

Job Summary: The Ramp Lead at North Wright Airways plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the activities of the ramp team. This position entails a high level of responsibility, overseeing the loading and unloading of aircraft baggage, guiding aircrafts to and from gates, and managing various airplane servicing operations. The Ramp Lead is expected to thrive in a dynamic environment, effectively managing both personnel and operational challenges in various weather conditions. This role also involves direct interaction with customers, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.

Location: Norman Wells, NT

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and computer literacy.
  • Supervisor/Team leader experience.
  • Prior ramp/check-in/cargo experience is considered as an asset.
  • Must be willing to work on weekends, when required.
  • Standard First Aid and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification is an asset but not required.
  • Must undergo pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.

North-Wright Airways has operated as the scheduled Sahtu Regional connector since 1986, connecting Yellowknife to Aklavik and six communities in between. The scheduled service moves people, mail and freight between the eight communities of Inuvik, Aklavik, Fort Good Hope, Colville Lake, Norman Wells, Tulita, Deline, and Yellowknife. The charter service provides for a unique range of specialized services for government and industry. North-Wright’s main base of operations is in Norman Wells with satellite services in all of the communities. North-Wright operates its wheeled aircraft out of a hangar and office facility in its main base in Norman Wells.
