Are you passionate about digital marketing and excited by the power of social media? ApplyBoard is looking for a Marketing Intern to help grow our presence across Chinese social media platforms, and engage with the study abroad advisor community in China.
You’ll help manage and localize our content across key platforms—WeChat, Xiaohongshu (RedNote), and Douyin (Chinese TikTok)—by translating select English-language campaigns and creating content aligned with the interests of our partners in China.
This is a great opportunity for a student or early-career marketer looking to apply their Chinese language and digital skills in a global marketing team. You’ll report to the Associate Director, Partners Marketing.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating, translating, and localizing marketing content for ApplyBoard’s official Chinese social media channels.
- Managing and growing our presence on WeChat, Xiaohongshu (RedNote), and Douyin.
- Reporting on weekly/monthly performance (e.g. follower growth, impressions, engagement rates), with insights and recommendations to optimize future campaigns.
What you bring to the table:
- Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese and English.
- Hands-on experience managing social media profiles and creating engaging digital content.
- Knowledge of Canva, WeChat Official Accounts, and other publishing or scheduling tools.
- Comfortable using spreadsheets (e.g., Google Sheets) to track results and build basic reports.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, International Business, or a related field (preferred, but not required)
