THE POSITION
CSEC is seeking a strategic, creative, and results-driven marketing professional with a passion for sports, entertainment, and storytelling to join their dynamic team.
As Manager, Content Marketing you will lead our content strategy and bring our brands to life across all platforms. In this role, you’ll craft compelling narratives that engage fans, support our brand values, drive ticket sales & revenue, and elevate our presence in the sports and entertainment world.
Reporting to the Director, Marketing, you’ll collaborate closely with business units including digital content, broadcast & production, club business operations, hockey operations, game presentation and communications. You will also lead content servicing for internal departments supporting the brand marketing team. This role blends creativity, project management, and technology to deliver compelling creative marketing campaigns that support the brands throughout the entire fan journey.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Develop and execute a content marketing strategy that supports fan engagement, brand awareness, and revenue goals.

Align content with key moments in the sports and entertainment calendar—game days, concerts, player milestones, and community events.

Maintain a content calendar that integrates with marketing campaigns, social media, and PR initiatives.

Lead the creation of multimedia content including articles, behind-the-scenes videos, player features, fan stories, and event recaps.

Collaborate with creative, video, and social teams to produce content that resonates with diverse fan bases.

Ensure all content reflects the various brand voices and enhances the fan experience.

Use data and insights to optimize content for reach, engagement, and conversion.

Partner with ticketing, sponsorship, and merchandise teams to support promotional efforts.

Manage a team of content creators, freelancers, and agency partners.

Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and creativity.

Work cross-functionally with departments including digital, PR, community relations, and game operations.

Actively participate in safety programs and follow polices;

All other duties as assigned.
THE INDIVIDUAL
The ideal candidate will have the following background:
- 5+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in sports, entertainment, or media.
- Strong portfolio of content that demonstrates creativity, storytelling, and audience impact.
- Deep understanding of fan culture, digital trends, and content formats (short-form video, reels, blogs, etc.).
- Proficiency in CMS platforms, SEO tools, and analytics dashboards.
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills
