Job Overview:

This role streamlines operational needs by supporting key commercial excellence activities—including vendor management, analytics, reporting, and communications—to ensure effective P2P enablement, marketing excellence, and robust compliance and controls to support Oncology Business Unit’s US region. This position will report to the Commercial Excellence Director within the AZ US Oncology Business Excellence Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Provide operational support to customer function including speaker nomination processes, speaker eligibility management, coordinate contracting and compensation inquiries, and liaise with vendors, legal, and brand teams to resolve all programmatic and contractual issues.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Reporting: Act as the central communication point, providing regular updates, customized reports, and status tracking to brand teams, and leadership ensuring clear, timely dissemination of information and best practices.
  • Project support: Maintain critical documentation, support resource allocation, and troubleshoot with internal and external partners to ensure smooth execution of team projects.
  • Process Improvement & Compliance: provide operational support to compliance reviews, policy maintenance, SOP updates, and implement findings from audits, ensuring adherence to standards, optimizing processes, and supporting training initiatives.
  • Strategic Leadership & Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize and manage key initiatives, influence operational priorities, and deliver innovative solutions to enhance program effectiveness and business efficiency.

Essential Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Science, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant business experience, with 3+ years in commercial, marketing, or sales roles within biotech or pharmaceuticals, and significant experience leading projects or programs.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to assess feasibility, risks, and impact of proposed initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with experience operating confidently and discreetly in a highly regulated industry.

  • Advanced degree.
  • Strategic, innovative, highly organized, and able to independently manage multiple tasks in a demanding environment, with a focus on staying ahead of industry trends.
