The Forensic Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting comprehensive financial investigations and litigation support engagements. Working closely with senior forensic experts, you will delve into intricate financial records to identify patterns, irregularities, and evidence of fraud, misconduct, or economic damages. This position is designed for individuals who possess a strong desire to learn forensic methodologies and apply their existing analytical strengths to solving complex financial puzzles.

We understand that a direct forensic accounting background may be limited at this stage. Therefore, we are particularly keen to speak with individuals who have:

• Junior Auditor experience: You have honed your skills in meticulous financial review, internal controls assessment, and identifying discrepancies, providing an excellent foundation for investigative work.
• Valuation Services experience: Your expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, critical thinking, and understanding of business drivers makes you highly adaptable to quantifying damages and assessing financial impact in a forensic context.

Plan, execute, direct and complete valuations and litigation support engagements for clients from a variety of industries, including cannabis, manufacturing and distribution, technology, retail and distribution, and other diversified industries.

• Drafting Valuation Reports for the purposes of shareholder transactions, corporate reorganizations, income tax planning, estates, and financial reporting.

• Drafting Valuation Reports for financial reporting.

• Assist in litigation matters, including preparation of Expert Reports for shareholder disputes, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties engagements.

• Building detailed valuation and financial models including sensitivity analysis.

• Serve as the day-to-day point person on valuation and litigation support engagements, lead meetings and calls with clients, advisors, and management.

• Manage client expectations concerning deliverables and deadlines and lead team efforts effectively.

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and cross-sell services.

• Communicate (verbally and in writing) externally with clients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish objectives portraying knowledge and confidence.

• Manage business development activities, such as proposals, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership material.

• Support the development of junior team members.

• Involvement in the development of best practices within the group.

• Active participation in the development and growth of our Valuations and Litigation Support service offering.
