INTERNAL SERVICE ADVISOR - Legacy Dodge Wetaskiwin
An Internal Service Advisor is well versed in customer service, vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, inventory needs and time organization management. The Internal Service Advisor is responsible for coordinating internal repair orders for inventory and providing other aspects of customer service to the sales department; as well as, ensuring timely inventory processing and delivery deadlines are met.
Responsibilities Include:****:
- Responsible for writing internal service repair orders for used cars, creating estimates, dispatching this type work into the shop for the technician to work on, and/or sublet repairs when necessary
- Responsible for writing warranty PDI repair orders for new stock units arriving from the factory
- Work as the liaison between the sales and service department.
- Advise sales management of additional work required and associated costs
- Maintain and update all open repair orders daily.
- Ensure sold vehicles are ready for delivery date
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service history
- Ensure that the 3 C’s are captured in technicians story’s and write up
- Ensure all work order inspections and attachments are present and meet audit requirements.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments for services rendered (as needed)
- Maintain communication with technician staff regarding job status changes.
- Remain continuously updated on the shop’s workload to determine the type of work the technicians can quickly accommodate.
- Process and complete appropriate checklists and warranty registration for vehicles
- Answer all incoming phone calls within three rings
- Perform service department administrative tasks as directed by management
- Complete daily reporting requirements
- Close/Cashier Ro's daily to maintain a clean WIP (work in progress)
- Adherence to dealership policy on customer vehicle care and operation
- Keep Service Management informed of all problems and potential problems
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Report any situation or condition that could jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or its customers
- Assist the customer facing advisors with customer workflow when necessary.
- Other duties as required.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive repair processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical individuals
- Proven experience in a dealership automotive service environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic math skills
- Positive and friendly with a customer service mentality
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years relevant service experience
- PBS experience an asset
- Previous experience as an internal or service advisor would be an asset
- Previous experience with Stellantis/FCA considered an asset.
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to supply a satisfactory drivers abstract
- Steel Toe/Composite Footwear is required

Since the beginning of Del's first introduction to the automotive industry, he has worked in several capacities including Vice-President, General Manager, Executive Director, and Chief Operating Officer in various automotive firms.
