GENERAL FUNCTION
Momentum's Analytics team is looking for a Director of Analytics to join our growing Risk Group. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Analytics, the Director of Analytics will be the leader that transforms our data structures, analytics capabilities and leads new enterprise wide initiatives through a consultative approach to bring success to our business and our customers.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and build a single source of truth for all metrics across the enterprise gaining alignment across executive leadership.
- Identify and improve inefficiencies or issues in current data processes and reports with a "there's always room for improvement" mindset.
- Lead all new enterprise initiatives for analytics, working across project teams to align resources to project deliverables.
- Prioritize and manage the analytics roadmap, balancing short term wins and long term transformation.
- Work closely with data engineering to ensure data integrity, consistency and quality across platforms.
- Define and enforce standards for metric definitions, dashboarding and data literacy.
- Translate business goals into measurable KPIs and data driven narratives to provide insights focused on improving business outcomes.
- Introduce a new BI tool, including migration from old tools. Guide stakeholders through change as data becomes central to decision making.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Decision Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Finance, or Economics
EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of experience in reporting, analysis and strategy development in the financial services industry.
- Proven experience using SQL, R, Python, or similar data mining and analytics applications.
- Experience with Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft SSRS or other tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- 5+ years in leadership roles in dynamic organizations.
- Proven experience implementing enterprise-wide metrics frameworks and BI platforms.
- Proven ability to effectively analyze and interpret large amounts of raw data to accurately convey business needs.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, visualization and modern data stacks.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience managing cross functional analytics initiatives from ideation through execution.
