Nous recherchons un dessinateur pour rejoindre notre équipe d'ingénierie. Le/la candidat(e) retenu(e) sera en mesure d'assister l'équipe dans la réalisation de dessins, schémas, manuels, documentation et autres tâches administratives d'ingénierie.
Le/la candidat(e) retenu(e) devra être capable de travailler en équipe et de manière autonome sur une période donnée. Les interactions au sein de l'équipe se dérouleront en présentiel et à distance. Le/la candidat(e) retenu(e) devra être capable de communiquer en anglais avec ses collègues ingénieurs, car ils peuvent être basés aux États-Unis.
Responsabilités et fonctions :

Maîtrise des logiciels de CAO SolidWorks et DraftSight

Assistance à l'équipe d'ingénierie dans le développement de modèles CAO

Création et mise à jour de plans et de conceptions techniques pour la production et la fabrication
-
Génération de spécifications de conception, de documentation et de listes de nomenclatures
-
Gestion et mise à jour des enregistrements de tous les plans et révisions
-
Création de fichiers DXF, STEP et PDF pour la production et les achats
-
Participation à la création et à la mise à jour de schémas (hydrauliques, pneumatiques et électriques)
-
Gestion et organisation du système de numérotation des pièces dans la base de données PDM Vault
-
Préparation de dossiers complets et rédaction de rapports d'avancement pour l'ingénierie
-
Participation à la création et au développement de manuels d'installation et d'utilisation
-
Toute autre tâche administrative d'ingénierie requise par l'équipe
Formation, qualifications et compétences

Formation en dessin technique (diplôme d'études supérieures ou certification technique)

Maîtrise des logiciels de conception assistée par ordinateur (CAO) : SolidWorks et Draftsight/AutoCad

Compétences relationnelles pour travailler en équipe et suivre les directives du responsable de l'ingénierie

Excellentes compétences en communication et en collaboration (écrites et orales)

Solides compétences techniques et mathématiques

Souci du détail et souci de la précision

Compréhension des plans de fabrication, des normes et capacité à interpréter les plans/dessins techniques

Des connaissances en hydraulique et en électricité sont un atout, mais ne sont pas obligatoires
La connaissance du français est requise pour les postes situés en permanence au Québec afin que le titulaire puisse communiquer au besoin avec ses collègues et les fournisseurs au Québec. Une formation en français est offerte à tout titulaire d’un poste permanent au Québec qui ne possède pas une bonne connaissance du français.

L´anglais est requis pour ce poste afin de pouvoir communiquer avec les clients, partenaires et collègues qui sont majoritairement situés à l’extérieur du Québec.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Continental Railworks, a Division of Wabtec, is a dynamic, innovative and growing OEM of hi-rail (highway/railway conversion units) which allows road-going vehicles to travel on railroad tracks. We are looking for a draftsperson to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be able to assist the team with drawings, schematics, manuals, documentation and other engineering administrative tasks.
The successful candidate must be able to work within a team as well as independently for stretches. Team interactions will be both in person and virtual. The successful candidate will need to be able to communicate with engineering colleagues in English as they may be based in the USA.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work proficiently in SolidWorks and DraftSight CAD programs
- Assist engineering team in the development of CAD models
- Create/update engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing
- Generate design specifications, documentation and bill of material lists
- Maintain and update records on all drawings and revisions
- Create dxf, step and pdf files for production and purchasing use
- Help build and update schematic diagrams – hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical
- Maintain and organize part numbering system within PDM Vault database
- Prepare complete document packages and drafting progress reports for engineering
- Assist with the creation and development of installation and operation manuals
- Any other engineering administrative tasks required by the team
Education, Qualifications & Skills
- Completed an Engineering Drafting program (Associate Degree or Technical Certification)
- Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) Software. SolidWorks & Draftsight/AutoCad
- Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from Engineering Manager
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills (Written & Verbal)
- Strong technical and mathematical skills
- Detail orientated and a strong eye to accuracy
- Understanding of manufacturing drawings, standards and able to interpret blueprints/technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical is beneficial, not required
Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec so incumbents can communicate with their colleagues and partners in Quebec as necessary. French-language training is offered to all incumbents in permanent positions in Quebec who do not have a good knowledge of French.
Other language requirement
Fluent English is required for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, clients and partners (or suppliers) located outside Quebec and to understand the technical and scientific documentation available in fields relevant to our industry.
