DUTIES:
Reporting to the Manager, Sales & Marketing, this position will be responsible for coordinating sales functions for Transit Windsor fare media sales, retail pass sales for all sales outlets, and to assist the Sales & Marketing Manager with planning, organizing and implementing corporate marketing initiatives; provides training and support to Customer Service Clerks; reconciles and prepares bank deposits; liaise with various corporate pass purchasers; assist with the coordination, preparation and distribution of department print and advertising materials, including brochures, posters, and flyers; backfills for Customer Service Clerks as necessary; responsibilities include the research of information, copywriting, and editing of promotional materials using Desktop Publishing software, supplier contact, and distribution of marketing and promotional materials. Will perform Corporate Health and Safety duties as outlined in the Canada Labour Code Part II. Will perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing/Public Relations or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a marketing-related field; including print promotion, copywriting, media relations, and event coordination, will be considered an asset.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent mathematical skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate with both internal and external customers.
- Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Suite of products.
- Experience with desktop publishing software is considered an asset.
- Must maintain a valid Ontario Driver’s License.
- Must be bondable.
- The physical demands analysis associated with this job indicates a sedentary level of work.
