TYCROP is looking for a Robot Operator to join our team in the Fraser Valley.

Responsibilities:

  • Program and maintain robotic welding machines for a range of welding tasks
  • Stop machines to remove finished parts or to change tooling, setup, or part placement, according to required machining sequences
  • Lift parts to machines manually or with hoists or cranes
  • Monitor machine operation and control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and parts on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
  • Insert control instructions into machine control units to start operation
  • Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished part dimensions, or numerical control sequences
  • Daily production flow requirements
  • Jig storage and documentation
  • Minor fixes to bad welds or welds that can’t be reached

Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Previous work experience
  • Forklift certification/Overhead Crane certification

Skills:

  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Knowledge and experience in basic MIG welding
  • Team building skills
  • Computer skills; Excel, Word, Email
  • Safety Procedure Adherence
  • Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
  • Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems
  • Must be able to lift 10lbs to 50lbs.
