Role Overview
We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in a hybrid capacity. In this role, you will lead and support mechanical design projects with a focus on HVAC, life safety systems, and complex commercial/residential developments. You’ll apply your deep technical expertise and leadership skills to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through to construction
- Prepare mechanical design drawings and documentation using CAD and HVAC software (e.g., Carrier HAP)
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders including clients, architects, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
- Participate in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and project leadership
- Strong proficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools
- Experience with HVAC load calculations and life safety systems design
- Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage projects
- Experience in both commercial and residential building design, including high-rise and large-scale developments
