About the role

Peel Senior Link, a non-profit charitable organization established in 1991, provides personal care & home-making services. Peel Senior Link maximizes independent living--helping seniors live with dignity, stability and safety. Peel Senior Link is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care through the Mississauga Halton Local Health Integrated Network and the Central West Local Health Integrated Network, grants and personal and corporate donations.

Job Summary: We are seeking a student who is pursuing their education in Office Administration or related field of education and/or experience to support the Manager of Client Services.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing administrative assistance to our various business units

  • Provides assistance with organizing and filing documents for current clients

  • Data Entry

  • Assist with Staff trainings

  • Assist with inventories

  • Follow-up on phone calls, assist with mail preparation

  • Assist with staff trainings and meetings

  • Support with staff events

Specialized Skills

  • Work effectively within a team environment.

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Willingness to learn and commitment to quality

  • Good communication skills

  • Highly organized and able to effectively prioritize

  • Problem solving

  • Microsoft Office – Word and Excel
