About the role

We are looking for an energetic, motivated, and self-starter to join our Accounting team!
The primary function of the position is to you will be responsible for accurately processing new and used vehicle sales and purchases, preparing journal entries, and supporting monthly financial reporting. You will work closely with the accounting team and dealership staff to ensure data accuracy, compliance with documentation standards, and timeliness in financial operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Processing and post journal entries related to vehicle transactions.
- Processing new and used vehicle sales and purchases across multiple dealerships.
- Maintaining accurate vehicle inventory, track receivables, and calculate commissions and gross profits.
- Supporting month-end processes and assist in preparing financial working papers.
- Ensuring all documentation complies with company and legal standards regarding authorizations and accuracy.
- Performing administrative and clerical duties related to the accounting function.
- Assisting with special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned and as may be amended from time to time to meet company objectives
Requirements
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to use accounting software effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Punctuality and excellent attendance are essential.
- Excellent attendance is a must and consistently arrives to work on time.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a 2 years + Accounting Course or Diploma
- 2+ years relevant experience, preferably in the automotive sector is an asset
- Experience with CDK considered an asset
- Certificate of Conduct required
