Job Title: Financial Analyst – FP&A (North America)
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid Work Model – 4 days/week in office)
Position Overview:
Our client, a leading North American construction solutions company with a strong global presence, is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their finance team in Mississauga, ON . This is a full-time, permanent position supporting financial reporting, planning, and analysis across various business segments.
This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment and enjoys bringing financial data to life through meaningful insights and collaborative decision-making. You’ll play a hands-on role in month-end close, budgeting, variance analysis, reporting optimization, and more—while gaining exposure to senior leadership and complex project work.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Support month-end activities, including journal entries, consolidation, and reporting of key financials and KPIs.
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and cost centres, performing variance analysis and developing detailed commentary.
- Collaborate in financial campaigns such as budgeting, cost planning, forecasting, audits, and other ad hoc initiatives.
- Lead or support planning meetings with stakeholders to drive process alignment and validation.
- Ensure financial reporting accuracy and compliance with US GAAP standards and internal policies.
- Monitor and improve financial system reporting, ensuring proper account mapping and compliance with HARP standards.
- Work with tools like SAP ECC, SAP FC, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Tagetik, and QlikView to streamline reporting and enhance visibility.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to improve efficiency through automation or enhanced reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, or accounting.
- Enrolled in or working toward a CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and presentation.
- Experience with ERP and reporting tools like SAP ECC/FC, SAC, Tagetik, QlikView, or Google Suite.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to work across departments.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid work environment and open to 10–20% travel as needed.
Compensation:
This role offers a competitive salary in the range of $80,000 – $90,000 per year, based on experience. Additional benefits include performance bonuses, extended health and dental coverage, a company RSP plan, professional development support, and flexible hybrid/remote work options (4 days a week in office).
