What We Are Looking For :
We’re currently seeking a Manager, Payroll Transformation to join our forward-thinking, collaborative team. In this role, you’ll lead payroll delivery across a diverse client base while helping transform how we integrate payroll into cloud-based systems and financial technologies. You'll begin with a hands-on focus, managing payroll directly, and gradually transition into building a team and scalable processes. You’ll also collaborate with our Financial Technology team to implement modern payroll tools and support client data migrations.

What You Will Be Doing :

  • Manage and execute payroll for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Manage end to end payroll processing including complex scenarios such as changes in pay, new hires, terminations, retroactive adjustments and vacation payouts
  • Prepare and issue statutory filings such as T4s and source deductions
  • Conduct independent research into federal and multi-province payroll legislation and regulatory changes
  • Serve as the primary payroll contact for clients, offering clear and empathetic communication
  • Collaborate with the Financial Technology team on payroll system implementation, data migration, and process automation
  • Identify and lead process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability of payroll deliveries
  • Train and mentor junior team members as the function grows; provide technical support and quality assurance
  • Support change management initiatives for clients transitioning to new platforms
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align payroll services with broader client goals and system integration

Education and Experience :

  • PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation required
  • 3-5 years of payroll experience, a professional services or outsourced environment would be considered an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian payroll practices, including multi-jurisdiction compliance
  • Experience with full-cycle payroll, year-end processing, and source deductions
  • Familiarity with cloud-based payroll and accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online & Payworks)
  • Experience supporting system implementations and transitions is a strong asset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize work assignments for self and assigned team members
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with clients and internal stakeholders
