About the role

JOB STATEMENT :

The Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounts payable operations for Worldsource Wealth Management (WWM) and its subsidiaries. This role involves supervising a team of Accounts Payable Coordinators, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining financial controls, and supporting continuous process improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Supervising and supporting the AP team, including training, performance monitoring, and workload management;
  • Reviewing journal entries related to vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements for accuracy, authenticity, and compliance with company policies;
  • Managing vendor relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely and efficient payment processing;
  • Supporting internal control assessments by providing required documentation and explanations;
  • Ensuring accurate recording of expenses, purchases, and reimbursement claims to appropriate accounts and cost centers;
  • Providing coverage for AP staff during absences, vacations or during peak times;
  • Supporting daily banking activities, including bank deposits, uploading positive pay files, and approving AP-related payments;
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency;
  • Collaborating with the Finance team and management to support broader departmental goals; and
  • Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounts payable.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of AP processes, vendor management, and accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of Canadian sales tax regulations and input tax credits (ITCs).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate level or higher).
  • Experience with accounting software such as Multiview Financials, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills and time management.
  • Strong data entry and numerical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
