KDays is Edmonton’s largest summer festival—a ten-day extravaganza of music, rides, food, and adventure. It will take place at the Edmonton EXPO Centre grounds from July 18 - 27, 2025. KDays features indoor entertainment and acres of outdoor attractions.
The Edmonton EXPO Centre is seeking Train Engineers who will play a crucial role in operating the KDays miniature steam-engine train, a unique and exciting opportunity, throughout the ten-day extravaganza from July 18 – 27, 2025.
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Operating the miniature steam engine train throughout KDays 2025.
- Inspecting the train before and after runs, and reporting any issues, if required.
- Performing basic maintenance when required.
- Monitoring meters and gauges on board.
- Communicating with passengers and/or bystanders.
The successful candidates will have:
- 4th Class Power Engineering Ticket or higher is required.
- Previous experience driving steam engine trains is considered an asset.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
