We are seeking an experienced Sr. Buyer to join our Manufacturing location in Delta, BC. This role will support the day to day coordination of a team of procurement professionals, managing supplier relationships, optimizing sourcing strategies, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services to support aerospace manufacturing and operations. This is over and above the day to day Procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the leadership of the procurement team, communicate and implement strategic direction and serve as the onsite technical resource/escalation point of contact.
• Implement procurement strategies aligned with project and business goals.
• Negotiate local contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality and delivery standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and logistics teams to align sourcing with technical and operational needs.
• Support leadership with the analysis of market trends, supplier performance, and cost drivers to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• Support the management of supplier risk and development of contingency plans for critical components.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and company policies, including ITAR, Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and other aerospace-related standards.
• Monitor KPIs and generate report and support drive continuous improvement in procurement performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications:

• SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) designation
• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications

Work Conditions:

· Onsite full time 9 day fortnight schedule

• Minimum 5–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in the aerospace or defense sector.
• 2+ years of leadership or team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace industry standards, supplier qualifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100, ITAR, CGP).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
