Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man/Woman, ideally a retired individual looking for extra income, to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in building renovations, construction, repairs and maintenance, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This role requires someone who can tackle the various tasks independently, ensuring that all work meets high-quality standards. Currently the requirement is to do 3 smaller renovation/construction projects spanning from now until September 2025. Hours will be flexible, with only 1 project having a fixed timeline.
Duties
- Perform general renovation/construction in commercial property, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
- Tools will be provided as required, but own tools are welcome.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with other team members or contractors as necessary.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Handy Man/Woman or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of reno/construction techniques and the tools used.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy objects when necessary.
