DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide major and minor estimates and to sell merchandise actively and aggressively from estimates and quotes.
• Must be strong mathematically.
• Able to read blueprints
• To provide information, assistance, and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements, and expectations of the customer
• To order merchandise for assigned areas as directed by the Lumber Manager as per Prairie North Co-op policies and procedures.
• Receive lumber and merchandise as directed by the Lumber Manager.
• Merchandise various lumber products in the store and warehouse
• To be familiar with and adhere to Prairie North Co-op policies and procedures including working in a diverse environment.
• To assist the yard clerks with customer service
• To perform other duties from time to time as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Willing to complete or have completed Levels 1, 2 and 3 Estimating Courses at Saskatchewan Polytechnic
• Experience and knowledge of building material products and willing to take additional training
• Valid Sask. Driver’s License.
• Ability to work with co-workers and public.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts.
• Physical requirements include lifting/carrying 80 lbs.+ loads.
• Must be able to work with computers.
• Must be able to work unsupervised.
