A career as an A Senior Advisor in the Real Estate - Commercial Banking team at National Bank is to act as expert in comprehensive blend of credit analysis, risk management, client engagement, and portfolio management. This job allows you to have a positive impact on the organization through your financial solutions skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach to credit and client service.

Your job

• Underwrite new and existing credit opportunities to align with branch financial goals and NBC’s risk appetite.

• Support Relationship Managers by identifying full-service solutions and referring clients to appropriate business partners.

• Prepare detailed credit submissions for new loans, renewals, amendments, and reviews, with strong risk and underwriting analysis.

• Manage a portfolio of construction loans and term mortgages, including monthly draw requests and ongoing oversight.

• Participate in client meetings to assess loan proposals, recommend pricing, and draft term sheets.

• Ensure compliance with credit, audit, and regulatory standards, while collaborating with Business Coordinators to fund and manage real estate loans efficiently.

Within the Real Estate - Commercial Banking sector, you are part of a team of credit professionals and relationship managers, reporting to the Manager, Financing Solutions – Real Estate. Basic requirements

• Diploma in Business Administration or a related field (specialization in Urban Land Economics or real estate appraisal courses is a strong asset).

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial or real estate lending.

• Proven skills in financial statement analysis, real estate valuations and commercial credit underwriting.

• Highly organized, driven, and eager to build a career in financial services.

• Strong computer and business modeling skills; experience with banking and loan origination systems is an asset.
