This role is responsible for the facilitation and execution of all non-technical contractual items pertaining to event performances at the Avalon Theater and the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino. The job involves:
- Responsible for the coordination of all non-technical Tour requirements.
- Act as Tour Liaison from arrival through to departure in accordance with contracted venue representative mandate.
- Assist the Entertainment Programs Department with a variety of special projects.
- Delegate and negotiate with other departments and outside vendors.
- Prepare and issue entertainer orientation packages.
- Enforce terms of contract governing performance prior to monetary settlement with responsible artist designate.
- Prepare profit & loss reports and critical analysis of each performance.
- Accurately track all programs expenses associated with a particular act.
- Perform administrative duties such as composing and generating correspondence, attend meetings and prepare minutes.
- Effectively communicate via approved channels with all stakeholders current statuses, plans of action and expected outcomes associated with a particular act.
- Work safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation.
- Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties.
- Act as an ambassador on behalf of Niagara Casinos to promote the property/venue.
- Physical demands associated with this position include long periods of standing, extensive walking, ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must thrive with an unconventional work schedule; fluctuating shift lengths including evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to work in/around loud and crowded environments.
The ideal candidate has:
- College Diploma or equivalent work-related experience.
- Minimum 1- 3 years progressive experience in the field of live entertainment/special events.
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, Outlook, Adobe).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent judgment and ability to work in a high-pressure environment as well as demonstrated attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Easily adaptable personality.
- Integrity to uphold the utmost of professionalism, confidentiality and diplomacy.
