Come and join us — where payments meet purpose! | What we are looking for The Enterprise Project Management Office plays an integral role within Payments Canada. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be a key member of a dedicated team responsible for the planning, management, development, implementation, and evaluation of a complex multi-year large project that will transform our batch system.
Reporting to the EPMO Delivery Manager, the Senior Project Manager will work to manage the large project through the execution of all stages of the project lifecycle, following a PMI-based Payments Canada project management methodology.
| A day in the life The Senior Project Manager is responsibilities includes but are not limited to
Project Management
- Provides on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
- Maintains a strong understanding of the line of business and is able to facilitate communication with other various stakeholders and vendors efficiently and effectively.
- Directs and coordinates the internal project team, internal and external contractors, vendors, and external regulatory organizations.
- Has an excellent understanding of project based resourcing, project estimation as well as the ability to support multi-year planning.
- Will manage key internal and external relationships while mitigating risks, addressing conflicts and ensuring the success of the project.
- Will also ensure that agreed upon deliverables and timelines are met by working with key stakeholders, particularly the Director and our Regulator.
| What you will need to be successful
- Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ progressive and diverse project management experience managing large scale projects
- Experience managing business, security, and/or technical transformation projects
- Experience in implementing projects using waterfall and hybrid Methodologies
- Experience in building and sustaining day-to-day relationships and communications with internal and external partners and resources
- Experience preparing and delivering project updates to senior leadership
- Valid criminal records check or eligibility to obtain
| You will really stand out with
- Experience working in the payments or financial sector is considered an asset
- PMP designation from the Project Management Institute/Program (PMI/PMP) is considered an asset
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset
| Salary range
- Based on qualifications and experience: $93,639 to $117,046
