Job Overview
KCC is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Biomedical Science Instructor to deliver in-person academic instruction across a range of TCM, RMT courses, including:
- BMS200 – Musculoskeletal Anatomy Review & Lab
- BMS301 – Anatomy & Physiology IV
- BMS397 – Systems Pathology II
The successful candidate will provide engaging instruction, contribute to curriculum development, and support student learning outcomes in alignment with professional and regulatory standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lectures and demonstrations in accordance with curriculum objectives and CTCMA/CCHPBC occupational competencies.
- Update and maintain course outlines and materials in collaboration with the academic team.
- Upload all lecture materials, outlines, and slides to the Learning Management System (LMS) prior to course delivery.
- Create, administer, and grade quizzes, assignments, and exams.
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and performance assessments, and input grades into the LMS in a timely manner.
- Offer student mentorship and support while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Participate in course reviews and updates to ensure compliance with evolving industry and regulatory standards.
- Engage in professional development and educational training as required by PTIB and KCC policies.
- Attend faculty meetings and collaborate with fellow instructors to enrich the academic and clinical education environment.
- Respond promptly to student and faculty communications via the designated college email system.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must hold a Master of Science, Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Dr.TCM), or another relevant medical or health-related degree.
- Must possess a valid license to practice in the Province of British Columbia as a Registered Nurse (RN), Chiropractor, Acupuncturist, TCM Practitioner, Registered Massage therapist or Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Dr.TCM).
- Must be a registered practitioner in good standing with the College of Complementary Health Practitioners of BC (CCHPBC) for practical, lab, and jurisprudence courses.
- Minimum two years of full-time work experience in a career occupation relevant to the subject matter or clinical practice experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience, or a combination of at least three years of clinical practice and instructional experience in TCM or related health sciences.
- Registration in good standing with CCHPBC , College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC), or an equivalent professional regulatory body.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CCHPBC/ Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, standards, scope of practice, and regulations.
- A credential in adult education or post-secondary instructional training is preferred (or a willingness to obtain one).
- Proficiency in the use of technology and digital tools in teaching and communication.

- Ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- High level of professionalism, accountability, and ethical conduct.
