Senior Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist
Work Location: Hybrid – 21 College Street, Toronto, ON (40% remote flexibility)
Pay Rate: C$65/hour
- Designed and deployed end-to-end data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and analytics solutions in secure enterprise environments.
- Developed data warehouse/lake/lakehouse architectures for real-time and batch data ingestion.
- Built and published Power BI dashboards and reports, enabling self-service analytics for the Inspectorate and SOLGEN program areas.
- Led demo and training sessions to upskill end-users on BI tools and ensure smooth solution adoption.
- Participated in UAT, documentation, and knowledge transfer sessions across project teams.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Databricks
- Proficiency with SQL Server, Snowflake, Delta Lake, and Azure Data Lake
- Expert-level experience in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and dashboard storytelling
- Experience with SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy), and data mining algorithms (classification, regression, clustering)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior Data Analytics or Data Engineering role
- Proven track record of delivering enterprise BI/analytics solutions
- OPP Level 4 Security Clearance required (must be obtained prior to onboarding; approx. 12 weeks processing time)
