The Role:
We are looking for our next Production Operator Wet 2. The Production Operator (Wet 2) will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of industrial equipment. This role supports daily production performance, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot automated and manual production processes.
- Conduct regular safety checks and perform basic maintenance on processing equipment.
- Apply all safety and food quality standards including HACCP, GMP, and hygiene procedures.
- Complete production documentation and digital data entry (SAP, MES systems).
- Support cleaning operations including Chemical Cleaning in Place (CIP).
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with LOTO, confined space, work permit, and other safety procedures.
- Train new employees and collaborate across teams for process improvements.
- Perform in-process sampling and quality control testing in the lab and production floor.
- Contribute to daily team performance meetings and process optimizations.
What You’ll Need:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment—preferably food, dairy, or beverage industry.
- Familiarity with separation, thermal treatment, spray drying processes, and basic chemistry.
- Experience with SAP, digital production tools, and quality systems is highly preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- None
Work Environment:
- This role is based 100% in a 24/7 plant environment and requires rotating 12-hour shifts (4 days on, 4 days off; days and nights).
- Occasional outdoor work and seasonal exposure expected.
Physical Demands:
- Regular standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and use of PPE including respirators.
- Lifting up to 25 lbs, exposure to dust, fumes, loud noises, high humidity, and high heat (up to 40°C).
- Use of chemicals including acids, alkalis, and sanitizing agents (20°C – 95°C) with proper safety gear.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- Full-time position with rotating shifts (12 hours). Flexibility for evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime is required based on production needs.
