OFFICE MANAGER (PERMANENT FULL-TIME) @ LOYALIST COLLEGIATE & VOCATIONAL INSTITUTE 12 MONTH POSITION 35.00 HOURS/WEEK EFFECTIVE: TO BE DETERMINED CURRENT HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $29.39 - $31.07 (Plus a competitive compensation package) About The Limestone District School Board The Limestone District School Board (LDSB) is situated on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee. The LDSB is the region's only fully inclusive school board. Limestone schools serve more than 20,500 students in 55 schools and five alternative education centres covering a geographic area of 7,719 square kilometres across the City of Kingston, the Townships of Central Frontenac, North Frontenac, South Frontenac, Addington Highlands, Loyalist, Stone Mills, the Frontenac Islands and the Town of Greater Napanee.

Position Overview As part of the school administrative team the Office Manager is responsible for coordinating the school office and providing assistance to the Principal and/or Vice Principal by supporting students, staff, parents and school community. The Office Manager is accountable for coordinating school office functions and the clerical support staff.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Post-Secondary Education equal to a two-year office administration diploma
  • Three years of directly related experience

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Strong organizational skills necessary to maintain productivity under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Supervisory experience and/or training
  • Excellent public relation and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • High proficiency in all secretarial, accounting, and clerical skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer applications being used in the school office
  • Demonstrates experience and commitment to EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion)

The board was founded in a 1998 provincial reorganization of all Ontario school boards. It is an amalgamation of the former Frontenac County and Lennox and Addington County Boards of Education.
