SCHEDULE: Rotating Shifts-Days, Afternoons and Nights

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Grease System Operator is responsible for used cooking oil (UCO) management, offloading, safe operation of the equipment, ensuring general maintenance in the workplace and plant support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Offloading Used Cooking Oil from tankers and drums
    • Offloading products for rendering from trailers and straight trucks
    • Filtering of finished product
    • Loading trucks with finished product Meat Meal and Tallow
    • Following all Health and Safety protocols
    • Following all HACCP protocols including completion of all paperwork
    • Required to maintain, clean and keep orderly the departments.
    • Ensure that shunt trucks, fleet tractors, and trailers are in a clean and presentable condition.
    • Capable of driving heavy equipment and Ensure safe driving operations.
    • Accurate completion and submission of all required paperwork
    • Responsible for following all company health and safety rules and for communicating all reportable incidents.
    • Responsible for effectively and efficiently dealing with issues that may arise including other duties, including plant duties, as assigned.
    • Capable of managing efficiently and safely work functions on their own.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

    • Class G drivers' license
    • Provincial Secondary School Graduate Diploma or greater
    • Must be flexible to work shifts as required
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as well as part of a team
