About the role*
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in Saskatoon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling accounts payable functions, reconciling bank accounts and credit cards, and assisting with monthly tax filings. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while developing your accounting expertise.
What you'll do
- Process and record accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a regular basis.
- Record and track GST and QST transactions.
- Assist with the filing of GST, QST, and PST on a monthly basis.
- Support month-end closing activities and other accounting-related tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable or relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Accounting diploma is recommended but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and a team player attitude.
- Willingness to assist with month-end and other accounting tasks as required.
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
