We equip our clients with advanced tools like a Transportation Management System (TMS), logistics expertise, and consultation services that help reduce costs, optimize shipping methods, and turn data into actionable insights.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the president, we are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and contribute to data-driven decision-making. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and is passionate about both financial excellence and business insights.
The Controller will manage full-cycle accounting, reporting, payroll, compliance, and cash flow, while also leveraging data analytics to identify trends and opportunities across our operations. You’ll work closely with the President and cross-functional teams to support strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations
- Oversee full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Manage billing, invoicing, and monthly commission calculations
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow
- Develop and maintain strong internal financial controls
- Prepare monthly financial statements and performance summaries
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Coordinate and support audits and government filings
- Post and maintain accurate payables and receivables records
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Create reporting tools and dashboards (primarily in Excel) for internal decision-making
- Generate clear, data-driven presentations to support executive strategy
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure financial visibility and alignment
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar finance role, preferably in transportation or logistics
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting
- Experience with Stripe, credit card processing, and commission structures
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and communicate insights
- High attention to detail and organizational strength
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and solution-oriented
