About the role
Park Place Seniors Living owns and operates a network of seniors’ care homes across British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. We are committed to providing exceptional care and service to our residents and their families.
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Controllers, this role plays a key part in supporting our finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices and payments accurately and efficiently
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or overdue accounts
- Prepare and issue monthly rent invoices; apply and track incoming payments
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Support banking functions in collaboration with site administrators
- Maintain and organize financial filing systems Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and other administrative duties as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Strong customer service orientation
- Experience with both accounts payable and receivable
- Creative problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (intermediate to advanced)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience in property management, real estate development, or healthcare services is an asset Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems is preferred

- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including site teams and senior management
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, auditors, and health authority contacts Remain composed under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
