About the position
The IT Support Specialist serves as the first point of contact for technical support across the organization. The successful candidate will support Microsoft 365 apps and tools, resolve user and hardware issues, participate in IT projects, and grow into a more advanced system administrator role.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a background in an MSP (Managed Services Provider) environment who can hit the ground running and is ready to focus on supporting and evolving a single organizational IT ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
End-User & Helpdesk Support
- Assist, coordinate and lead program management activities to ensure compliance with regulations and performance metrics, adherence to timelines, and ongoing improvement.
- Respond to IT support helpdesk requests. (tickets, calls, in person).
- Troubleshoot issues related to Lenovo laptops, HP printers, docking stations, monitors and peripherals.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications: Outlook, Teams (including Teams Calling), SharePoint, OneDrive and the Office stack
- Resolve access and authentication issues using Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and our RMM.
Microsoft 365 & Azure Ecosystem
- Provide Tier 1/2 support for Microsoft 365 suite and Teams-integrated VOIP.
- Assist in the configuration and support of SharePoint libraries, OneDrive syncing and
- Support Azure-based services: custom .NET apps, Dynamics 365 CRM, and integrations.
- Identify gaps and recommend improvements to Microsoft 365 adoption and user training.
Device & Endpoint Management
- Deploy and manage laptops using Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager.
- Perform hardware/software configurations, installations, and updates.
- Ensure secure and compliant device operation for remote and in-office staff.
Systems Maintenance & Projects
- Assist with infrastructure projects: migrations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Support patch management, routine maintenance, periodic IT tasks.
- Work on cross-system enhancements involving Dynamics NAV and Business Central.
Documentation, Training & Best Practices
- Document support procedures, configurations, and system architecture.
- Maintain onboarding checklists, IT usage guides, and troubleshooting materials.
- Train staff on Microsoft 365 applications to increase efficiency and adoption.
- Create standard operation procedures as needed.
What you bring
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
- High-school graduation or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in an MSP or hybrid cloud environment.
- Hands-on expertise using and supporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Teams Calling, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills; able to support non-technical users.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Freshservice, ServiceNow, Jira).
- Ability to work independently and support staff across multiple time zones.
- Permanent working status in Canada.
- Able to pass a security check.

Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per annum (the actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
