RECEPTIONIST (25-0000531)
Bargaining Unit: OPSEU
Status: TEMPORARY Full Time
Department: SJHC Administration
Site: St. Joseph's Health Centre
Shifts: Days
Rate of Pay: $24.03 - $28.27 per hour
Qualifications:
-
Post-secondary qualifications in a business or administrative field
-
Experience in a clerical capacity, preferably in a healthcare setting
-
Demonstrated skills and ability to work in a fully computerized environment
-
Experience with Meditech applications, in particular the admissions & scheduling modules
-
Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset
-
Accurate keyboarding skills are essential
-
Must be client-focused and possess the ability to interact with a wide variety of clients, visitors and clinicians on a daily basis
-
Ability to handle multiple tasks
-
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
-
Data entry skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-
Demonstrated regular attendance at work
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
- Offers of employment made to external candidates are conditional upon providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per the SJCG Immunization Policy IMS-04-005 or proof of valid medical exemption, prior to the offered effective date. If proof of vaccination or valid medical exemption is not provided, the offer of employment is rescinded.
