Industrial Operations Manager
Wicehtowak Employee Transportation Ltd., a joint venture of Southland Transportation Ltd., has an exciting opportunity for an individual who is ready to take the next step in their career as an Operations Manager.
This is a camp-based position, working a 7 day on / 7 day off rotation (Wednesday to Tuesday). Shifts will be 10 hours (worked as a split shift) between the hours of 4:00 am and 6:00 pm. Meals and accommodation provided.
This role oversees the transportation services for multiple industrial clients throughout Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate is a high energy leader with the ability to direct a diverse workforce.

What You Do:
- Work with functional leaders within the company to ensure compliance to company policies and procedures
- Supervise and train a team of professional drivers and operations staff
- Develop positive relationships with key clients and vendors to allow the company to lead the industry with best service levels
- Assist in answering customer, public or employee inquiries; provide exceptional customer service
- Approve employee time sheets and submit to payroll
- Document fleet maintenance and organize maintenance with outside suppliers
- Ensure that safety is always a strong part of the culture
What You Bring:
- Post-secondary education with an emphasis on Business or Management; an equivalent combination of directly related education and experience may also be considered
- Previous transportation/logistics operations and supervisory experience (2 + years)
- Excellent ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a team, clients, and internal managers
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office including excel, word and outlook
- Strong ability to demonstrate analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance multiple tasks of competing importance
- Excellent presentation skills - must be able to speak confidently with all levels of the organization
