POSITION OVERVIEW 

We’re looking for a highly organized and tech-savvy Junior Marketing Coordinator to join our team part-time. This role will support a wide range of ecommerce marketing initiatives— by executing and maintaining core digital marketing functions across our website, email/SMS platforms, SEO, and tech stack. This is a growth-oriented position with room for expanding responsibilities and full-time employment over time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Website Optimization &  Management

**This role is fully responsible for all aspects of website management and optimization—no other team members are currently assigned to these tasks. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage content updates, merchandising, and on-site conversion elements (e.g. banners, CTAs, landing pages)

  • Develop and implement UX/UI improvements, including A/B testing strategies

  • Oversee and optimize the full customer journey—from homepage to checkout, including app integrations and technical enhancements

  • Optimize PDP (Product Detail Page) design, copy, and performance

  • Lead the development of new web pages as needed (seasonal launches, editorial, landing pages, etc.)

  • Manage and maintain the blog, including publishing content and ensuring SEO best practices

  • This is a performance-based role

    : the coordinator will be responsible for monitoring key Shopify ecommerce KPIs

    (e.g. bounce rate, conversion rate, checkout abandonment) and executing strategies to continuously improve online conversions

Email & SMS Marketing Execution

This role is fully responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing all email and SMS marketing efforts—there are no other team members currently assigned to these tasks. Responsibilities include:

  • Build and deploy all email and SMS campaigns from start to finish, including copywriting, graphic creation, list segmentation, and scheduling
  • Maintain and optimize all automated flows (e.g. welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back)
  • Create and test personalized email strategies based on customer behavior, segmentation, and lifecycle stage
  • Build, develop, and optimize referral, loyalty, and post-purchase programs to incentivize customer retention and repeat purchases
  • Monitor key performance metrics (open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, unsubscribe rate) and continuously optimize for performance and ROI
  • Own campaign planning and reporting, with the goal of driving high-value engagement and increasing customer lifetime value

Customer Retention

  • Build, manage, and continuously improve customer referral and loyalty programs

    using tools like Smile.io, Yotpo, or equivalent

  • Develop post-purchase strategies and communication flows

    to extend the customer lifecycle, increase satisfaction, and drive repeat purchases

  • Analyze customer behavior and retention trends to identify churn risk and implement targeted win-back tactics

  • Test and refine incentives, messaging, and timing to optimize program performance

  • Collaborate with customer service and ecommerce teams (where applicable) to ensure seamless integration of retention programs across the customer experience

SEO & Content Optimization

  • Conduct keyword research and optimize website copy, collections, and product pages
  • Implement on-page SEO best practices (meta descriptions, alt tags, structured data, etc.)
  • Help coordinate content strategy for organic search growth (e.g. blog/calendar ideas)

Tech Stack Development & Maintenance

  • Assist in managing and troubleshooting integrations with ecommerce tools (Shopify, Klaviyo, Gorgias, etc.)
  • Document and streamline marketing workflows and tool usage

Marketing Ops & Reporting

  • Track performance metrics across channels and support regular reporting
  • Maintain campaign calendars and assist in project coordination
  • Support ad hoc digital marketing initiatives that support ecommerce growth

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 2–3 years of experience in digital marketing, ecommerce, or marketing operations
  • Strong understanding of the ecommerce space, including funnel strategies, marketing best practices, consumer behavior, and current industry trends
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced ecommerce business or DTC brand is considered a strong asset
  • Proficient with Shopify, Klaviyo (or similar), and basic CMS/website editing platforms
  • Working knowledge of email marketing fundamentals, funnel creation, lead generation, and performance-based optimization
  • Graphic design and website development skills
  • Experience creating and editing social and video content (e.g., trimming, resizing for platforms)
  • Strong creativity and an eye for design across both static and motion assets
  • Comfortable using Google Drive tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at an advanced level
  • Solid understanding of SEO and CRO principles as they relate to ecommerce performance
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple initiatives at once
  • Bonus tools/skills: Gorgias, Zapier, Redo, Yotpo, Google Tag Manager
