Annual salary: $ 107,000.00 - 135,300.00
Position Highlights
As a Senior IT Advisor on the Cybersecurity Planning Team, you will work closely with Enterprise Architecture and various
security teams to provide technical leadership and strategic guidance across the enterprise.
What you'll do
- Collaborates with the Enterprise Architecture team to develop and execute a strategic implementation roadmap in
alignment with the enterprise vision.

Guide cybersecurity design and implementation across enterprise projects.

Participates in the detailed technical cybersecurity design on projects, analyzes solution design and architecture, and
drives alignment with enterprise architecture, business plans, policies, regulatory compliance, operations, standards and
industry best practices.
- Participates in assessment and prioritization of cybersecurity risks and threats to be addressed through the
implementation plan or operations.
- Participates in projects including requirements definition, work effort estimations, budgeting, solution design, technical
guidance, test plan development; reviews and approves project documentation.
- Analyzes project solutions to determine how the implementation of a new system or new interfaces between systems
impacts the security posture of the current environment.

Drives remediation of gaps in cybersecurity typically identified through assessments or by operational teams.

Collaborates with internal and external teams, stakeholders, partners to support planning activities.

Identify gaps in solution architectures and recommend alternatives.

Liaises with business units to maintain a pulse on cybersecurity.

Keeps abreast of new technologies, industry trends and developments (IT and OT).

Perform other related duties as required.
What you bring
-
The ideal candidate has significant experience working in cybersecurity architecture and planning roles.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a combination of education and experience.
-
CISSP, CISM certification or other relevant cybersecurity certifications or significant industry experience.
-
Minimum seven years work experience in designing and implementing technical solutions with cybersecurity components
in a large enterprise environment, including at least four years in a dedicated cybersecurity role with strategic or advisory
responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated extensive experience in two or more of the following areas:
- Infrastructure & Data Centre Security
Proven ability to secure physical and virtual infrastructure, including server hardening, virtualization platforms, and
segmentation strategies in enterprise data centers.
- Endpoint Security
Experience advising on endpoint protection strategies, including EDR/EPP deployment, device compliance, and threat
mitigation across diverse operating systems.
- Network Security
Strong understanding of network architecture and security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network
segmentation to support defense-in-depth strategies.
- Cloud Security
Experience securing public and hybrid cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including identity management,
workload protection, encryption, and compliance.
- Security Monitoring & Operations
Familiarity with security tools, SIEM platforms, log analysis, and incident response processes, with the ability to guide SOC
teams and integrate monitoring into enterprise solutions.
- Threat & Vulnerability Management
Expertise in vulnerability assessment, threat modeling, and risk prioritization, with a track record of driving remediation
efforts across complex environments.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Deep knowledge of IAM frameworks and technologies, including RBAC, MFA, SSO, and federated identity protocols (e.g.,
SAML, OAuth), with experience advising on enterprise IAM strategies.
- Enterprise Applications & Application Security
Experience reviewing application architectures and development practices to ensure secure coding, threat mitigation, and
integration of security into the SDLC.
- Data Protection
Knowledge of data classification, encryption, DLP, and privacy-enhancing technologies to protect sensitive and regulated
data across systems.
- Operational Technology (OT) Security
Familiarity with securing industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, and other OT environments.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in IAM, cloud, application, OT areas at this time.

Strong cybersecurity knowledge, technical ability, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication, conflict resolution and collaboration skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, and SharePoint.

Experience with OT and ICS (supporting electric utilities) is considered an asset.

Experience with NERC CIP compliance an asset.
