Southbridge Care Homes owns and operates several long-term care and retirement homes throughout many urban and rural areas across Ontario.

We are currently seeking a General Manager to run the day to day operations and oversee the staff of the retirement home, while ensuring that the needs and the satisfaction of the residents and guests are met.
The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and passion for senior care by delivering high-quality leadership support to our homes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate, implement and supervise the day to day operations of the Retirement Home
- Exercise delegated authority for Resident care and planning
- Provide leadership to the team and professional development learning to ensure understanding of and shared commitment to quality care
- Create and monitor the overall budget, ensuring the home is in a healthy financial standing
- Coordinate education, infection control, quality improvement, best practice and risk management processes
- Participate in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating accurate resident assessments and care planning in collaboration with team members
- Work to respond promptly to resident concerns, ensuring follow up to resident and family standards
- Establish positive relationships with residents and families, addressing all concerns and complaints
- Lead Resident care conferences
- Responsible for the recruitment, selection and hiring of nursing staff and ensuring training in accordance to the Retirement Home Regulatory Authority regulations.
- Responsible for managing labor relation concerns ensuring proper resolution to any concerns and performance management
- Leads the CQI processes
- Accountable for developing and implementing marketing strategies geared towards increasing occupancy levels
- Establish and maintain community partnerships
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-3 years of clinical and business acumen
- 1-3 years in a senior living environment
- RPN/RN with current good standing with the CNO
- Effective leadership, organizational and relationship building skills
- Ability to analyze and problem solve complex resident and staff situations within a multidisciplinary team is essential
- Knowledge of computerized software and Resident Care Management systems is an asset
