The Faculty of Social Work Social is currently seeking a Research Assistant to assist with the faculty’s Accreditation Process, specifically stakeholder surveys.
The Research Assistant will support the Faculty of Social Work’s Accreditation process by assisting in the review, development, and analysis of stakeholder surveys. This role involves analyzing data from past surveys, revising survey questions, building surveys in Qualtrics, and analyzing responses from new surveys once completed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Accreditation Team in conducting various stages of preparing and administering the survey, such as:
- Review and summarize results and methodologies of previous stakeholder surveys (students, field instructors, alumni, etc.)
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and gaps in existing survey responses
- Provide recommendations for revisions and improvements to survey instruments
- Draft revised survey questions based on findings and feedback
- Build and test new surveys in Qualtrics, ensuring accessibility and user-friendliness
- Assist in the launch and monitoring of surveys during the distribution phase
- Analyze results from newly completed surveys, producing summary reports and key findings
- Prepare visuals (e.g., charts, tables) and written summaries to support accreditation documentation
- Maintain data security and confidentiality throughout all phases of the work
Position Requirements
- Masters or Doctoral student
- Experience with data analysis (quantitative and/or qualitative) using SPSS and NVIVO
- Familiarity with survey design best practices and tools, specifically, Qualtrics
- Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage timelines
Physical Demands Pay Grade As Per CUPE 2419 Salary Range Per CUPE 2419 Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
Time card. Hours will range from 4-10 per week depending on needs of the project. The work schedule for this position is flexible.
Course Modality Course Dates and Time Duration (if Term/Temporary) term to December 31, 2025, with possibility of extension. Full-Time/Part-Time Casual Preference Posting No Preference Target Posting Not Targeted
