The General Production Worker contributes to the company’s success by completing specific production or packaging tasks so as to achieve production goals.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper products and quantities are manufactured on each shift according to the production schedule, or as directed by the supervisor or designate.
• Pack products according to production schedule and supervisor’s instruction.
• Report equipment faults to Line Supervisors and product damage to Manager
• Pack goods ready for shipment in crates or other containers
• Ensure all packaging is completed according to established packing instructions (e.g.: date coding procedures and batch monitoring).
• Maintain equipment with accordance to GMP / Food Safety standards including but not limited to: containers, belts, rollers, dividers and collection plates and any other items assigned by management
• Ensure food safety while completing sanitation tasks
• Follow and comply with 5S system (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
• Comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) & SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards at all times.
• Comply with Company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate high standards of work practices, food safety and safety conscious behavior.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• 2+ years’ experience working in a production/warehouse environment; experience within food industry an asset.

Working Conditions:

• Able to work on foot for long periods of time (full shift) and performing repetitive work.
• Wear protective clothing, such as coats, hair nets and safety shoes.
• Exposure to machinery sounds and loud noise levels.
• Ability to push, pull, bend and lift items in a production setting (typically 25 lbs)
• Good hand and eye coordination to sort pieces in a timely manner

Pay: $21.37 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
