About Stancer Testing-Lab
Stancer Testing-Lab is a Québec-based, independent testing facility specializing in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Radio Frequency (RF) testing. Leveraging cutting-edge technology and deep technical expertise we help manufacturers bring compliant, reliable, and market-ready products to life.
Our Laval facility is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure supporting a wide range of EMC/RF testing for all industry sectors.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated EMC Test Engineer to join our team. This role involves performing compliance and pre-compliance EMC tests on a variety of electronic and electrical products, supporting our clients' compliance and product development efforts.
Working hours: Working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (day shift) — flexible or occasional evening shifts may be required based on project demand.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform EMI/EMC emission and immunity testing on electrical and electronic systems per international standards (e.g., CISPR, IEC, FCC, EN).
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and test procedures.
- Operate and maintain RF test equipment such as: Spectrum Analyzers, High-power RF Amplifiers, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes
- Accurately document test setups, results, observations, and anomalies.
- Maintain lab cleanliness, equipment calibration, and a safe work environment.
- Collaborate closely with EMC Engineers and clients for custom test plans and technical investigations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of diplomas and work experience
- Hands-on experience with EMI/EMC testing and RF measurement tools.
- Strong technical comprehension of electrical/electronic schematics and systems.
- Ability to independently build, modify, and troubleshoot test setups.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in English (spoken/written); French is an asset.
Preferred Assets
- Familiarity with all EMC applicable standards such as EN 61000, CISPR 11/22/32, FCC Part 15, IEC 61000-4-x, or MIL-STD-461.
- Previous experience working in accredited testing labs or with compliance documentation.
- Comfortable using calibration and test management software.
